What Locals Say about Rohnert Park

  • Cindy Boldt
"There’s nowhere for teenagers to hang out And unless they go to a park, the town is involved in sports and has a good support system. Most neighborhoods are nice well suited for kids, but the crime is increasing w/time."

"Sometimes people do not leash their dogs with no recall, although rare it happens. Dogs also jump fences here and tend to get out. Other than that I would say it is a very safe place for dogs as far as cleanliness. Definitely a lot of dog owners here. "

"There is no downtown in ROHNERT Park. The city is sectioned off and each section A-M of the alphabet has a park."

"I’ve lived in Rohnert Park for over a year and really like the convenience of having everything I need around me like grocery stores and the freeways. Housing is expensive though and sometimes it doesn’t feel safe to walk around certain areas alone. "

"I have a very easy commute. I access Petaluma Hill Road from Snyder Lane and take it all the way to Santa Rosa, which is about 12-15 min away. Beautiful drive as well!"

It is very good in average. If any doubts the police station; it 5 minutes away that it is very in orden good to luck, I like like it."

"Only lived here for few months so maybe that’s why it doesn’t feel so neighborly yet, public library is really nice and lots of parks. Lots of grocery stores and big box stores, just not too many little local shops"

"People drive recklessly it’s pretty unsafe and I see parents letting their toddlers walk alone around parking lots and streets I’ve had to tell parents to watch their kids and have had to yell at drivers on multiple occasions when a child was almost hit."

"Every neighborhood has its designated park which is great to raise children in. That being said, the rising housing costs make it unaffordable for most people to live here. There are also some college parties that can get loud at times. Other than that it’s a decent little town."
