10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTwo of my children attended Briarcliff Manor schools throughout their pre-college years. It's big enough to qualify for a large schools' diversity of educational/sports/social opportunities, yet small enough that everyone will most often see familiar faces walking the halls. My daughter is now a sophomore at Duke and my son, Ohio State (he was accepted at Boston College, BU, Northeastern and a few more). He was a student athlete and OSU supports their athletes' exceptionally well plus he wanted a BIG SCHOOL experience. Also, OSU is so well funded that they hire (and pay) their professors so exceedingly well that the OSU quality of the education is extremely competitive. Several of the students in both of their years headed to Harvard, Princeton, MIT, Brown, Stamford...you get the idea. There is a warm, inclusive and cheerful feeling in the town and I wouldn't think twice about doing it all over again if we had the choice.Parent Review1y ago - Todd Elementary School

"We all have dogs so it’s all about the dogs. There are plenty of parks as well. A great place to live overall. "

"It’s a beautiful community with a small town feel. I would highly recommend someone moving here! It’s a great community and you feel very safe within it. "

"I grew up in Briarcliff. It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood where I’ve always felt safe, and there seem to be more and more young families moving into the area. At least in my area, a car is definitely needed to get around—no public transit options nearby. For parents considering moving to Briarcliff and looking at the public schools, note that parts of Briarcliff are within the neighboring town (Ossining) school district."

"Lack of sidewalks and rare street lights makes walk uncomfortable during dark times. The Rockefeller State Park being such a ‘gem’ for dog walks is so close!"

"Beautiful area, but very limited diversity. There’s two sides to town. 9A divides them. One side is uber wealthy, the other side is dual income families. I lived on the working family side for 29 years. "
