"This neighborhood is beautiful. The Franklin Mountains are nearby, great for hiking, walking, and bicycling. There are several beautiful parks for family recreation and dog walking. "Most dog walkers are friendly and respectful picking up after their dogs. The neighborhood works well together when an owners dog gets loose. We have beautiful parks, mountains with great trails for walking. There are dog groomers and pet stores available. So many neighbors have picked up stray dogs, brought them to get checked for a chip so that they can be reunited with their families."

"Lots of people walking dogs. There is the occasional off leash dog or dogs who have gotten out. Multiple people leave their dogs out in their yards so they bark during the night, but that’s more of an El Paso thing."

"great and safe place to live, if you like outdoors for jogging or cycling - streets are safe or go to run trails. The wild life preserve is just around the corner with great views of the Franklin mountain. NE is the best location in town - far enough from all the city and airport noice, and yet convenient for various shopping, hospitals, entertainment. Drive to the west side, or to the east - spend your day there and come home to relax."
