What Locals Say about Butler-Tarkington

  • Trulia User
"Mostly everyone owns a dog in our neighborhood. Parking can be hard to find if your home doesn’t own a garage or “backyard parking”"

"Butler is close by— college sporting events are accessible and I Like the performances at Clowes. It is a walking neighborhood"

"Lots of people litter and there's broken glass everywhere, even on the sidewalks. The garbage men don't even get out of the truck so if they drop trash, it stays on the street."

"It’s awesome. There are many kids in this area, however there are so many different schools, that many of the kids do not interact with each other due to going to different schools. For example there are several kids on our street however none of them know each other because they all go to separate schools. Unlike many neighborhoods where there is one school for the area, and all the kids on the street are familiar with each other. However we love it here and there are many wonderful families and children in this area. Very family-friendly."

"There are a few great parks in the neighborhood as well as an ice cream shop, cupcakes, pizza, a hoagie shop, brewery, coffee, pastries, a pharmacy, groceries, and a few hardware stores within a 5 minute radius. The crime rate still leaves much to be desired, but the community is great and we are working together to improve this neighborhood!"
