I attend every parent-teacher conference, email, have one on one talks with the teachers and other staff and everyone I’ve encountered have been very pleasant and helpful. The teachers really want to teach and guide and not just show up for work. 2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere's a reason we all call the educators, staff, students and families at Adams Elementary "the Adams Family." I think the "2" rating on this site could not be more wrong. Adams is such a welcoming place, with teachers who are dedicated to academic growth but also social-emotional wellbeing and overall health and wellness. In the past 5 years, both preschool teachers and the PE teacher have been named "best in SLPS" in their teaching areas. We love the community garden too, and the partnership with the Boys and Girls Club that shares the building. The school was one of only 77 in the entire nation in 2019 to be awarded a silver designation as one of "America's Healthiest Schools" by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. The St. Louis University PRiME Center growth scores in math and language arts at Adams for students from marginalized groups are some of the highest in the area, public or charter. We love that it's a Saint Louis Public Schools neighborhood school with that neighborhood feel - the families living close by, in community together.Parent Review1y ago

"I've lived in this area for over 10 years and I have seen the progress, clean up and expansion of the neighborhoods and businesses. At the beginning there were issues with car break ins but has decreased due to police driving through neighborhoods keeping an eye on the community... Thank You for that!.. "

"For dog owners, it’s very safe to walk them at night. Usually very well lit and police are around every so often. Trash cans available all over for cleaning up after your dog. Only thing that can be an issue is the sidewalks are a bit skinny if you have a dog who maybe isn’t the most dog friendly. I can imagine that would pose a problem as I’ve had to walk in the street to avoid a barking dog more than once. Never had an issue, though. Owners all do a great job of controlling their furry friends. "
