5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEvery year I point out how unfair these ratings are to the population that this school serves. To anyone relying on these ratings please understand the high percentage of English language learners at this school. The school is a great place of diversity and opportunity. The staff is fantastic. Please visit before judging.Parent Review7y ago - Mccaskey Campus

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average8 out of 10. Son is now a sophomore at Lebanon Valley College - and doing very well. The advanced academics he took while at McCaskey and the diversity well prepared him for college and young adulthood. He is very well adjusted and has broader views regarding how individuals affect the world around him.Parent Review5y ago - Carter And Macrae El School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI must say that 3 yrs ago when my daughter started attending this school I was constantly concern about safety, teaching strategies, communication with staff, and almost every aspect necessary for a school...however, I am very pleased to see that despite of their VERY LIMITED funds, I have seen improvements since 2014 up until now. Even the new principal seems to be doing exceptionally. Understand this school is in the midst of our lowest income area of the city but it gives peace of mind to see their efforts to improve despite their limitations. My daughter loves this school and the staff are dedicated to help. Teachers volunteer often and even cover out of their own pockets for field trips for the children. That's something you wont find in other schools.Other Review6y ago - Check out schools near 435 W Grant St #3.

"Lots of families and retired folks. Very calm and generally neighborly, though I think I look young enough that no one ever thought to seriously befriend me. Lol"

"Friendly, clean, close to many events-stores...walkable. Nice area! Apts and houses seem to be well maintained. The neighborhood takes care of their properties. Folks take pride in their homes and surroundings. The area is very quaint and historical. The homes are so pretty. With all the trees around it gives the neighborhood a cozy homey feeling. I’ve noticed the landscaping makes the area more attractive, more inviting and so appealing. It makes one feel safer than other demographic areas of living. People seem to CARE more about the place they live in. These folks seem to have a more positive outlook towards their homes, others properties and their outlook in life. Some events go on in the area. People take pride in decorating for different seasons and holidays. I feel a peaceful nature, belonging when talking to others around here. Overall , it is one of the better and tranquil spots to live in. Also feel more secure and happier around here."
