6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children have been through all three schools in the District. Take the Great Schools rating with a grain of salt in District 48. We are such a small district that literally 1-2 children performing under state average will tank our "Great Schools Rating" under their very standardized rating formula. You will see a great swing in year by year ratings for this reason. Note this is why "Great Schools" surveys local community members for their input as well. It should be noted that the school has a 5 star rating across the board. The teachers here are wonderful. The opportunities are significant. Your child will get a better, more specific, one on one experience than in any of the other districts around here. Just look at the parent comments thus far. We have so many people that move out of our district and come back into it after a couple of years of being elsewhere. Most parents who are already in District 48 diligently search in the same area when choosing bigger better homes. Learning is never a point wise estimate but rather a total experience.Parent Review6y ago - Willowbrook High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageExcellent school, diverse, respectful, offers wonerful learning opportunities. Dan Krause is one of the best principals we have ever met. He genuinely cares about the students at the school and welcomes every opportunity to interact with them and help in any way possible. The students are very respectful of one another, good social and emotional support and cooperation. Students are encouraged to achieve academically but also to exhibit kindness, compassion and empathy. Great environment at this school.Parent Review5mo ago - Check out schools near 416 W Commonwealth Ln.

"Every thing I grew up here in the 70’/80’. This town has always been this way, and to be 100% honest it has gotten better. I moved to Rockford in 2000, and back to Elmhurst in 2019. I missed the peace, and absolutely Love this town... my home town!!!!!"

"Respnsible, happy dog owners all around. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dog off leash in this neighborhood. I’ve never seen one dog go after another dog. I’ve never heard dogfighting. Most of the dogs in this neighborhood are small. I think there might be one beagle, a few mixed breeds about that size and some little tiny dogs. The owner of a dangerous dog, and his dog, would not be welcome here."
