3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent I have had a great experience with the teachers. They are so willing to help in any way. They are kind, understanding and compassionate. My kids also really like their teachers and have had a good experience at this school. It would be nice if they had more parent involvement other than with sports but then maybe the faculty likes it that way. For me the most important part of a school is the quality of the teachers and the teaching, and that is where Borah shines.Parent Review4y ago - Monroe Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy older daughters attended Monroe. When we had our late, third child we wanted her to attend Monroe, too. Because the school is popular and sometimes not available for open enrollment (we enrolled our older girls there from a different school area), we literally bought a house within walking distance to Monroe so we could be assured of her spot in the school The current principal seems to know every kid by name and they adore him. The staff is deeply experienced. The community is strong and friendly. I love this school and have older kids who have achieved at the highest levels (top 1 & 2% SATs, 4.0 students, etc.). We loved South and Borah, too. My kids have had a friendly, supportive, caring school experience and have thrived.Other Review7y ago - South Junior High School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is full of bad people that don't know how to be respectful and include a lot of drugs. I constantly get bullied for the most random stuff and other students get involved in fights. The new vice principal is extremely strict. (They suspend you for running in the halls to get to your class on time.) The teaching is okay but is hard for someone with mental issues. Other peers tend to make fun of each other for being different. Especially if you are in a special needs class. This school needs to straighten out their community. Was a living hell and felt like eternity after just one day.Student Review8mo ago - Check out schools near 4105 W Cassia St.

What Locals Say about Depot Bench
- Trulia User

"My kids were grown when we moved here so I’m not intimately familiar with considerations for children… there are a few streets where traffic is heavy and fast, as well as a few open canals that could be dangerous. I would be very cognizant of these hazards if I had small children and I was looking for a home—find the smaller/quieter streets that are near the open spaces. "

"No comment, I work from home. Access to I-84 via vista and Downtown via capitol is quite good though. "

"I live in this area because of the proximity to BSU, Shopping, Nightlife, and Restaurants. There are some really cute areas on the Depot Bench. Lots of older homes are being bought by open-minded, artistic types of people. 5 min walk to BSU, 5 min bike ride to downtown. Love it!"
