7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible organization and horrible leadership, in unsafe area, horrible bus transportation that doesn't even come half the time with kids missing, tons of bullying and toxic school environment . Prison like yard for lunch and play. Toxic sludge for food. No regular fitness and only 15 minutes of outside time a day with NOTHING but grass and concrete (not even a ball). Aggressive, unprofessional, bullying, raging teaches who treat young kids like they are criminal teenagers. Teachers don't teach and just rely on tech button clicking multiple choice software for their lessons. Kids are treated like robots and allowed to bully other kids, learning best from teachers that a bullying is okay. Hateful place and kids using dr*gs in bathroomsParent Review4w ago - Midtown High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended Grady for two years (junior and senior) after attending a DeKalb County high school for two years, and the change was unbelievable. Granted, I took 10 AP classes during my time at Grady so my view is not holistic, but I absolutely loved my two years at GHS. I had many, many amazing teachers (notably Nichols for AP Calculus and Pope for AP US History), and I was heavily involved with the school's theatre and chorus programs. Grady students are very passionate about their interests (of which there are many), and the growing culture of academic competitiveness did wonders for my grades. That being said, the administration is kind of a mess and the school is not without its problems, but if you don't go looking for trouble you probably won't run into any.Other Review6y ago - Centennial Academy

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe level of absence in leadership and accountability is absolutely unacceptable. Both students and teachers are allowed to engage in bullying behavior towards other students. I had to take the matter to the Superintendent and Director of Operation of APS Charter School. Unfortunately, they lack inclusivity entirely, and the traditional chain of command for addressing issues proves ineffective. Furthermore, when you reach out to the school leader, you can expect a defensive and combative response. If possible, I strongly advise seeking an alternative charter school. It is my hope that the staff, especially the leadership team, receives training in diversity to rectify these problems.Parent Review9mo ago - Check out schools near 40 12th St NE #1206.

"Steps away to restaurants and notable Atlanta spots. Fair privacy and safety but sorry to say, very common for your car to be broken into... just something you accept I guess for living in the city."

"The dog park is small but it’s cool that they have one. It’s also a mini trail so if you wanted to switch up the walk, it’s available."

"Just be mindful of your surroundings and watch out for drivers not obeying traffic laws. There tend to be a lot of loud exhaust noises late at night and it’s definitely not the quietest of neighborhoods, but it’s also the closest to NYC you’ll find in Atlanta!"

"MARTA is extremely unreliable/time-consuming even for short distances. My commute (driving) within 2 miles takes about fifteen minutes. However, during snowmaggedon, it took about 3 hours. That about sums up my commute, just trying to reach minimum of 100 characters."
