"Dog beach in the area. A lot of people walking their dogs. However, neighbors with dogs, their dogs bark often. Its annoying especially being a person that works nights."

"Hard to get out of the neighborhood. One way streets, hardly used bike lanes, annoying roundabouts, not close to any freeway, that adds 15+ mins to your commute. I’m moving "

"Dogs are always welcomed however there are dog owners who are not responsible and leave poop on lawns and sidewalks. They should pick up after their dogs."

"Dogs are a common staple here since they are so welcome and loved in this neighborhood; however, owners won’t mind standing on your lawn which their dogs use the restroom on and won’t pick it up. Even if you have a sign or even a small fence, they will welcome themselves in and leave the mess! I would say 80% of people who live here have dogs, but the 20% that don’t, hate the ones that do and will make sure you know it. "

"I have lived in Belmont Shores for a year now and absolutely love it. Every single home is taken care of, not one eye sore. Its the kind of place where a piece of llitter on the sidewalk would find its way into my hand because it looked so out of place. Not a snobby place by all means however. The cost of living is affordable for this beachfront community with its many amenitiies. The dog beach that spans the length of the enclave, the trendy and hip shops, bars, and ethnic restaurants on 2nd Street. set the living platform for a fairly diverse, friendly while not nosey group of singles, couples, retirees and some young families to prosper from within. Everyone is always seemingly happy and the permeating lovely fresh sea breaze and pretty environment is why. I am convinced."
