Beginning August 1, flexibility for a 3-7 months term. Great option if you are building a home, want to enjoy the summer arts/opera season, the winter ski season, house hunting, or begining your relocation to Santa Fe.

This fully furnished contemporary adobe style home is located in Aldea--Santa Fe's friendly 400-acre new urbanism neighborhood four miles NW of downtown just off Route 599 Los Campanos exit. Sweeping Sangre de Christo and Jemez mountain views with dramatic sunrises, sunsets and dark sky star gazing.

Two hundred acres of common open space, hiking trails, tennis/pickle ball/ basketball and bacci courts, yet only 10-15 minutes from the Plaza, shopping, de Varges mall, museums, restaurants, the opera, the SF airport, and miles of hiking and biking trails. Skiing and 10,000 Waves are only 20 minutes away.

The spacious 3,100 sq/ft light-filled house is energy efficient and offers indoor-outdoor living, dramatic mountain views and large glass doors connecting to the wrap round portal (covered porch). Every possible amenity has been installed: toasty radiant heating, thermostats in every room, summer rooftop chilled water cooling, ceiling fans, a whole house sound system, high speed internet, security system, four kiva fireplaces, many skylights, traditional latillas and wood beamed ceilings, diamond plaster walls, and stained concrete floors throughout.

There is a home office, garage, including gym equipment and workout space, driveway, and additional on street guest parking. There are 3 large bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths with separate principal and guest wings. The house is quintessential Santa Fe with tall wood-beamed ceilings, massive wooden doors, and built-in Anasazi stone benches.

Enjoy breathtaking sunsets and Jemez Mountain views from the west portal. Enjoy the breeze from the ceiling fans, a kiva stone fireplace, large grill, granite topped bar, dining area, swing, and multiple seating areas ideal for informal entertaining or enjoying sunsets cocktail in hand.

The house, with its blend of contemporary and antique furnishings and rugs, is enhanced by an extensive folk art collection. Best of all it is quiet and private-- enclosed with stucco and Anastasi stone/ stucco walls, coyote fencing, and surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, stone patio, and water features all with mature Aspen and pinon trees and native/non-native plants that create a cocoon of green serenity.

The very large Primary-BR suite has a Kiva gas fireplace and sitting area, queen bed with mountain views and sliding doors opening onto the portal.
