"The neighborhood is very New Yorkish mix of everything. Beautiful historical houses mixed with urban, multi floor buildings. We’ve been here for a year and already know so many of our neighbors, close and far. We made friends and it feels cozy to swing by for a tea occasionally. Fast ferry is amazing! The best way to get to work ever. "

"St. George is a unique neighborhood that is perfect for anyone who plans to work in Manhattan and wants a short, FREE commute. The neighborhood is full of artists, writers, musicians; it's LGBTQ-friendly, lots a great restaurants in the area, low-income and upper-income people living in the same community. Gorgeous old Victorian homes, several condo/coop/apartment buildings in the area. High crime rate? As compared to what? I've never experienced crime here, except for the occasional car break-in. I've live here for 30 years. 10 mins from Snug Harbor Cultural Center."

"St Marks place is a nice street. Hamilton, few others near the Staten Island Ferry. The rest is not very nice. It's improving slowly. Now that they're building an outlet Mall, it's hopefully going to get better?"
