What Locals Say about Williamsport

  • Chelsea M.
"As long as your dogs are on a leash they're welcome pretty much everywhere outside and even some businesses encourage bringing your dog inside or stop you to admire your dog. There are dog parks in the area as well. It is hard to find rentals that allow animals especially large animals such as dogs or they charge an outrageous fee to have them."

"Williamsport bus transit makes it very easy and affordable to get anywhere in the area and surrounding smaller area townships. Only downside is not really convenient if you live in the more rural parts of williamsport as buses keep within the "city" type of areas. Cabs can be expensive, but uber and Lyft are very popular here and STEP is a great public govt funded resource if you're lower income or unable to drive or use public transportation."

"Some areas are great & some not so great just like every other town. Schools are close, several in the area. "

"I love that it's a very quiet neighborhood. Some weekends it's hard to even hear anything going on. In the spring and summer, outdoor parties and bonfires are common."

"Nothing. I don't walk alone at night or even during the day. Neighbors are terrible and lots of crime and drugs. Move somewhere else. This isn't a nice place to be stuck in."

"A lot of stray animals but mainly cats large park to walk dogs in and safe area to walk with your dog alone. Not a lot of places that allow larger dogs to live there so wouldn’t recommend "
