2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am very pleased so far with the teachers, staff, programs, and facilities at Kinnaman Elementary. I plan on having my daughter continue her schooling here, as well as have her 2 younger siblings attend when it’s their time.Parent Review6y ago - Mountain View Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI wasn't even able to get through 4 months of school before I had to move. Constant harassment and little to no intervention. I remember hearing a kid getting locked in a locker and the only thing done was a small announcement in advisory not to talk about it. Hallways were always dirty and filled with papers pencils and erasers. A kid stabbed me with a pencil and had pencil lead in my skin with a mark still there to this day. Never go here, protect your kids from the hell that is mountain view middle school.Other Review1y ago - Aloha High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you are looking for a good gaslighting, then you and your teens have come to the right place. After some time experiencing such an education environment and considering whether to share my thoughts, I've concluded that maybe I could be helpful by just being candid.I will say that there are some pretty awesome teachers in the minority. My teens have been greatly influenced by their emotional intelligence and willingness to help teens where they are. There are also middle of the road teachers in the majority. I have encouraged my teens to be patient because this schooling paradigm is unprecedented and everyone is struggling even the teachers. Then there are substantial minority of teachers who are entirely less effective, can't manage a loud group of teens, neglects quiet teens and become impatient with special needs students. Again I encourage patience because this is life and it takes all kinds of people to make a world. Everyone now and then, we will have to confront these issues to better ourselves as teachers and parents. It's uncomfortable, but we can do it...we hope.I was in the unfortunate position to reach out to the administration of Aloha High and this where the gaslighting begins. Let me tell you they are excellent listeners...when you can get a hold of them. They also agree, whole heartedly with your feelings, share anecdotal stories and evidence that proves "we are in this together." You may then write a plan of action between your teen, the teachers and the Aloha High administration, but if the problem is too complex the ghosting begins.Further into the year my teens became more discontented as they witnessed a degree of neglect and disconnect amongst the teens, teachers and administration. However, they were all forced to watch the school principal's morning announcements about how supportive the staff were of everyone. One of my teens was eventually so distraught after months of what they considered mockery, that they showed me a music video to convey how they felt (Principal by Melanie Martinez). To be honest, I am not the activist type who can take on the subtle nuances of a defunct school. I can only tell you my experience (at a very high level). I just think that how they present themselves is not how they truly are. If you are in this school or moving in, then good luck to you. I hope you are better than me at defending yourself and/or the quiet majority.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 3747 SW 190th Ter #3.
