What Locals Say about Highland Park

  • Kevin E.
"you will find that neighborhoods are great place if you make it so if you are a scary person and things seem so but if you are not afraid and have the intestinal fortitude to be neighborly in any condition things will always work out"

  • Brice E.
"My commute is ok. I prefer the Q line but it only goes to the boulevard. The Bus lines are getting better."

  • Anon
"There is usually a block party or neighborhood party somewhere on Woodward during the summer. However there isn’t much that “Highland Park” does as a neighborhood. The events that are here or pass through here are most likely here due to Detroit having events. And seeing as the community is not the safest I personally do not participate in the community events. "I have a car but because I work in downtown Birmingham I commute by using public transportation to save on parking expenses. other than that I walk to get to stores because everything is in walking distance."
