5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe had a pretty negative experience here. We had a good experience with our primary teacher, who effectively diversified the curriculum to meet our advanced learner, and worked with other teachers to enable them additional opportunities. She was enthusiastic and caring. However, we did not have good experiences with the administration or special needs support staff, who were not only ineffective and biased but overtly condescending in meetings. I had an employee literally laugh at my usage of a specific type of testing terminology. Additionally, the health aide staff was not equipped to follow directions on the requisite health forms for my special needs student, and literally endangered their life by not following the simple instructions as given by the doctor. I have nothing but negative feelings for this school, unfortunately. If you have an average child with no special/health needs, you might have an ok experience here. But if you need to take advantage of support programs that are supposed to be offered to all students fairly, please be aware that there will be battles. In fact, I was told I would not get the support services unless I hired an "advocate." I had an entirely opposite experience at the other close by LCPS elementary school, which we have now embraced and attend. Lastly, if you have health issues that are supposed to be supported by the health office, please know that they are not knowledgeable or reliable.Parent Review3mo ago - Woodgrove High School

"38 miles takes about 45 minutes in normal traffic conditions. The cities I commute to are Reston, Chantilly, and Centerville."

"I don’t have to commute at all on a daily basis. But when I do go out during the day, things get pretty busy around here. A lot of people travel through town. Rush hour can be very busy."

"My neighborhood has easy access to highways that lead to all major business districts. The subway has not yet reached my town but will shortly be 20 minutes away. There is bus transportation downtown."

"I’ve lived here since the beginning of this neighborhood being built. It’s the best neighborhood in Purcellville by far. Not too big and not too small, it’s perfect. Neighbors are friendly. Kids playing outside. People walking their dogs. It’s the all American neighborhood!!!! Within walking distance to one of the 7-11’s and even one of the shopping centers. Middle schoolers and high schoolers can walk to school as well. "

"Purcellville is a great small town to bring up a family. There is enough to do so one doe snot have to drive far yet it has non of the traffic and crime that larger cities have."

"I used to live in Purcellville, (military,had to move) I miss it very much and consider it to be a perfect town and the Courts of St. Francis to be top rate!! You can walk to everything and its quiet and friendly. "
