"There is great access to public transportation all around Salem. The traffic is a nightmare though. We commute to Woburn daily and must leave an hour and a half early to get there. That is the downside. Traffic in and out of Salem is horrible most days too. You have to know the back roads to get around fairly quickly "

"Putnam St. is a drag strip for commuters trying to avoid the traffic lights every 500 feet. If you have pets the Saturday night fire crackers and m80s will have every dog in the area barking when everyone is trying to sleep followed by the sirens of the police. Salem is a party town were older and handicap people aren't protected."
