The location is convenient to 101 (just 1 stop sign and 1 light away) as well as Foster City, while being far enough from traffic to be very quiet. Being right on the lagoon, it's peaceful.
Los Prados Park is very close by. A few blocks down the road at the Marina shopping center there's a supermarket, several restaurants, two banks, and a bus stop.
If you like biking, there is a convenient path that starts just down the street and goes to Redwood Shores. There's also bike parking on the side of the building.
APPLIANCES
The cook top has gas burners. There's also a wall oven (electric), a dishwasher and a fridge.
There is a gas furnace with ducts to each room, so it's easy to stay warm. The unit has a dedicated gas water heater.
Your private washer / dryer is in the unit. There is also a shared washer/dryer steps away that you're welcome to use at no additional charge.
BACKYARD
There is a large (5'x13') garden bed behind the unit that's available to you for growing vegetables. The soil has been nurtured for many years and the space gets great sun through much of the day. The backyard has unfenced access to the lagoon.
Whenever friends come by and see the backyard, there is consistently a "wow" factor. From the street it looks like a regular residential area, but once you step through the French doors and into the backyard, you'll see the "sea" of garden beds and the water view, and know what we we're talking about.
PARKING
A reserved, uncovered driveway parking space is available for you at $50 per month. There is also free unmetered street parking in front of the building. Since there are no street cleaning days here, and single family housing across the street, it makes street parking that much easier.

* You pay for PG&E. Dedicated natural gas water heater, ducted furnace system, and well-insulated walls help keep the bills down.

In class most of the teachers are nice but lots of other students don't pay attention or participate. Some people during lunch can be rude or mean but if you avoid them you can find your group (or person). It's pretty big and the electives are good. Overall, I'll give it a 6/10.
