Description

Welcome to CASA CHARO located in a quiet Shell Beach neighborhood. Beyond the white picket fence the vacation begins. The eclectic beach vibe starts when you enter the living room where you can enjoy your favorite shows on the large smart TV situated over the mantle, or just relax and read in front of the gas burning fire place. Owner will consider 1 SMALL dog (under 20 pounds, non-shedding)... sorry, no exceptions to pet guideline.

The house is full of natural light and has wood floors and tile throughout. There are two bedrooms with queen beds and big closets and two large bathrooms with everything you will need to make your stay comfortable. One of the bathrooms serves as the laundry center with a Bosch washer and dryer for your convenience.

In the well-appointed gourmet kitchen, you can prepare dinner on the professional Wolf stove and enjoy it in the cozy dining room, or eat outside on the patio in the beautiful and rare large private backyard surrounded by lush greenery and quiet. If you'd prefer, you can use the natural gas grill or then again, why not eat out in one of the many neighborhood restaurants, several within walking distance.

The best is yet to come when you take a short walk to the corner and end up by the beautiful sea, overlooking an outstanding coast line and taking in unbelievable evening sunsets. Walking along the ocean front, you can stop and sit one of the many beach benches and just take it all in. It's a favorite place to gather.

When you're ready to pick up the pace, you will find the area full of wonderful wineries, parks, golf courses, farmers markets and activities designed to make your vacation a great one. It's a no-brainer to make this your getaway place!

Suitability: Couples getaway, single story, off-street parking, steps to the walking path and beach.

Casa Charo is a month-to-month rental. Owner will consider up to three months. Minimum 30 night rental.

Small, non-shedding dogs under 20lbs allowed. No smokers.

Owner requires a refundable security deposit, $49 property damage insurance (covers up to $3000 in accidental damage to property or content), $165 mid-month cleaning/laundry service and a $265 move-out clean. Utilities included.

What Locals Say about Pismo Beach

"Like: Dog owners would love this neighborhood so many small parks and sidewalks. Not like: nothing not to like. "

"It’s very walkable. Close to the beach, hiking, and the local elementary school. Homes are pricey. Rents can be expensive."

"During summer there are movies nights and music at the parks. Fourth of July is crazy fun at the pier and the fireworks are spectacular."

"Lots of dogs and they’re allowed on the beach which is wonderful. Haven’t seen any unattended droppings and everyone seems kind of friendly but mostly tourist."

"We drove in from Los Angeles. So we originally used valet to park our car once we got here. Once we got here we pretty much walked everywhere because our hotel is right by the pier which is centrally located to everything we wanted to do. While the sidewalks are busy with foot traffic there doesn’t seem to be issues with traffic or places to park. I was told by a bartender that Pismo Beach does not have public transportation. He said the people on staff park far away and use scooters to commute the rest of the way. "

"Pismo Beach is a great place to live! We’ve been here four years and love how safe & clean the community is and how friendly our neighbors are. The close proximity to San Luis Obispo is a big plus too! Lots of local events that are family friendly and terrific fireworks display each 4th of July! Only complaints are how crowded neighborhood streets are from tourism in the summer months and the fact power seems to go out almost every time it rains. "

"We love that we can easily walk into town and enjoy major events like the June Car Show or 4th of July, but we enjoy living far enough from the pier that we don’t deal with vacation renters or tourists on a daily basis. The town is fairly well kept, although the roads definitely need improvement. Weather is pleasant year round and neighbors are friendly. Most of the town sees very little crime, but that increases during the major tourist season of April - September. We’ve enjoyed living here for almost 4 years, but this is not where we will stay forever. Overall, would recommend this community for older people (we’re 30 and feel way too young for this town) or anyone looking for small-town beach living. "

"We are close to the beach. There are nice neighbors surrounding us. The church across the street is nice to look at and has a special walking path, open to the neighborhood. "

"The neighborhood that we live in is mostly retired individuals, second home visitors and tourists. Not a good place for young families with children"

"My wife and I have only lived in Pismo Beach for six months and our house was broken into after two months. But the Pismo Beach police were terrific, very competent and recovered some of the stolen items. We like our neighborhood, although we find it a bit odd that there are so many houses with renters living there."
