6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe office staff and the savanna school district are very unprofessional. My daughter had gone to hansen since 3rd grade and we made a temporary move the lat week of the school year for 3 months. The school where we moved was still in session so I enrolled her for the 1 month they were still attending and then we moved back to our same house where we lived our whole life and then they wouldnt let me enroll her without provdiing several forms of proof of residency and getting district approval because she has an IEP. By law only 1 form of documentation is needed. When I confronted the person who was requiring this from me she denied ever saying it and passed me off to the director who when I told him the problem he said well she said its not true and then he brushed it off and was completely rude to me not even acknowledging my problem with this other teacher. he was cutting me off and raising his voice and demanding the documentation. He was hostile and unprofessional. I was unable to enroll my child at that time at her school she had been going to for the last 3 years and I am currently in process of taking my complaint up the chain of command until something is done for the unfair treatment me and my daughter received.Parent Review7y ago

"Neighborhood is very friendly. 4th of July they have a block party and bike parade. There are always neighbors on walks and bike rides with their kids. Halloween there are many kids that go trick or treating. This neighborhood is a hidden gem of west Anaheim. Also a huge plus is the Anaheim public utilities is half the price of surrounding city’s that have to use Edison and other utility providers"

"Disneyland and Knotts is close by. So there is tons to do here . Close to the beaches and major attractions. Airports are not too far such as Long Beach airport and Orange County airport. School here are great. Lots of nearby shopping centers and malls and community colleges. "

"I’ve lived here for 2 years now and am looking forward to moving out. Near Brookhurst Park there’s always police helicopters hovering around. There are a lot of people living out of vans parked on the street. graffiti consistently pops up at night on private garages, sidewalks, etc. I have a female roommate who doesn’t feel safe walking to her car at night."

"It’s pretty easy to get along with your neighbors, everyone is so friendly. Most restaurants or liquor stores are at walking distance. The only thing that sucks is the parking and the amount of graffiti that has been happening recently. There has also been an increase of homeless around the area too. "

"There are quite a few transients walking around the neighborhood. They rummage in trash containers looking for can or any thing of value. I do not see law enforcement officers often which is not necessarily a good thing. When criminals know that there is not a good law enforcement presence they tend to do what ever they want including victimizing people in the neighborhood."

"Not all dog owners in area train there pets well so you need to be careful around people with pets until you know the animals temperament. Generally dog owners do pickup after their dogs while walking and a large park is nearby."
