What Locals Say about Presidio Heights

  • Trulia User
"A very safe and clean, peaceful neighborhood in SF. Parks and playgrounds nearby and you often see moms strolling around nearby. It can be chilly here with fog but I feel very comfortable here. "

"I grew up in this neighborhood and at one time hoped to raise MY own children here. Unfortunately, I moved across the country. I'm planning on returning, purchasing my childhood home, & retiring there one day. My hope is that my daughter may one day raise HER children there. As this it's the Safest, friendliest, most comfortable neighborhood in the country as far as I'm concerned. ❤ 😍 💖 "

"Very family friendly and safe. Lots to do, public parks, restaurants, boutiques, and coffee shops. Beautiful houses as well as clean sidewalks and landscapes. Also a good view of the Golden Gate Bridge if you go to Spruce and Washington. "

"Nicest neighborhood for families and kids in SF. Easy parking. Easy access to downtown, marina, GG Park and of the course the Presidio. Highly recommend."

"Actually don't know much about Presidio heights except that it's bad for commuting to places and super hilly. Don't know if this counts as a correct review."

"This neighborhood has an extremely high walkability score. Laurel Village is 5 minutes away and has businesses that meet most everyday needs: 2 local independent grocery stores, wine shop, Walgreens, Ace hardware and 5&10, banks, bookstore, card shop, mini Sephora(planned) and a 24/7 Starbucks. In addition, within a 20 minutes walk there is a City Target, Trader Joe’s, US Post Office, FedEx Office and an Office Max. The local Jewish Community Center opened to all has some of the best fitness programs in the city and the Presidio National Park abutting the neighborhood has beautiful hiking trails down to the water.
