Phenomenal school and staff. My son had some special needs and they did wonders to accommodate him and help him excel.

The Gifted and Talented program in the Lovejoy Independent School District is much appreciated. Testing (our students entered 7th and 9th grade at the time and were new to both the district as well as the state of TX) was thorough and very well communicated. No waitlist for students to receive the service and very accessible and supportive administrative staff for advanced academics. Our students both tested into full GT, meaning they receive the service in all 4 core subjects: Math, Science, English and History. Their GT and GT AP teachers in these subjects are all very qualified and supportive and it is my understanding that in one instance this past year where it turned out to not be the case, the situation was addressed and corrected by the school. If I may, a shout out to GT Math teacher, Mr Hunter in Willow Springs Middle School (grades 7 & 8) for setting up his students for success with rigorous exposure combined with great support to the student and equally great communication to parents. Also a shout out to GT Chemistry teacher, Ms Hajii in Lovejoy High for pouring energy and care for her students’ success into her program and for fantastic communication and guidance to expectations and known possible challenges in upcoming chapters in the curriculum. Our students are doing very well in this program because of the quality of GT teachers they have but also because of good communication between the teachers and their students as well as to parents in both Lovejoy High and Willow Springs Middle. As parents we appreciate the academic support available, no matter who your student is or where your student falls in the academic spectrum. This includes almost daily, before-and-after-school time slots available with your student’s respective teachers, the teachers available in CAT (Center for Academic Training) dedicated to help with academics on campus and during the school day, as well as the newly introduced Leopard Time which students can utilize for academic support, catching up after missed school days or for finishing homework during the school day. All said, let me stress that this support for success staff and teachers make available, will be to a student’s advantage to the extend the student recognizes it and respectfully and positively utilizes it. It helps so much more if effort and wholesome communication comes from home just as much as it comes from these teachers.

Honestly the worst school ive ever been too!! I love school and love learning but if you dont fit into the kids “stereotype” you will not be accepted and will not make friends, if u support something different you will not feel accepted. The girl here are horrible and not only in Wsms but at the high school too im so glad i left before i got to highschool. Do not recommend

We love Puster because of the administration, the teachers and the families that make up the school.
