DREAMY OCEAN PARK APARTMENT
This light and airy unfurnished apartment is in a lovely mid-century fourplex adjacent to Third Street Neighborhood Historic District at the heart of walkable Silicon Beach, just 2 blocks from vibrant Main Street and minutes to the surf.
Elevated above street level, the lower front unit offers a peek-a-boo ocean view from its private entry porch hidden behind a wall of cypress trees.
The spacious and recently updated interiors exude serenity with modernist ceiling fans, white window blinds, sheer floor-to-ceiling drapes and upgraded lighting fixtures throughout.
Lined with south- and west-facing windows, the expansive living room flows into a tiled dining area and classic U-shaped kitchen with custom wood cabinets, double porcelain sink, refrigerator, gas stove, microwave and pantry.
The softly carpeted bedroom, conveniently accessible from both living room and hallway, is a sanctuary for sleep with neutral room-darkening curtains on its east- and south-facing corner windows.
The tiled full bathroom features a contemporary 3-way mirrored cabinet above the vanity and a bonus dressing room with abundant shelving.
Louvered bi-fold doors in the hallway reveal a newly installed full-size washer and dryer with a built-in linen closet close at hand.

What Locals Say about Ocean Park

  • Emily Bohannon
"My commute is fairly easily because it is opposite traffic living in SM and commuting out. It takes me 25 minutes to get to DTLA in the morning and 45 to get home."

"Ocean Park is a safe, friendly neighborhood close to some of Santa Monica’s most popular attractions: the beach, shops, restaurants, bars, City Hall, the 3rd Street Promenade, the Expo Light Rail station, the Pier, and the Sunday Farmers Market. The area is great for year around outdoor activities such as walking, jogging, biking, and all beach activities. "

"Great as long as you work within 3 miles. The 10 Freeway can be brutal, so can the 405. Commuting to Hollywood sucks."

"There are a lot of homeless people and wandering the streets. The school system is good, but private schools are much better. "

"Nice quiet street. Most of the buildings have their own parking, so there is always street parking available for guests. Your friends and family will love to visit since it's a short walk to Main Street and the beaches! This a nice and easy place to live. Traffic can be pretty tough in LA, however this part of Santa Monica is easy to get on and off the 10 and PCH."

"This is a gorgeous house in a great area. It is modern architectural yet warm - hard to capture that balance with modern. I love that it's tucked away on Grant. Very subtle. I can't say enough about Ocean Park Santa Monica - it's just a great place to live. I live in Venice but did live in OP for many years. As a local agent I sell many homes in this area. My only gripe with this particular street is parking. It's not great."
