"I live here for the last 7 years. I find it to be a peaceful place to live, that's well taken care of by the local police, and the residents who live here. Although this town itself is very small, nearby towns provide what it's missing for the residents, and they are very close and easy to get to. We have many young families and children living here. We also have retirees and in between. Trains are close and bus service is here also. Mall type shopping is nearby at The Bridgewater Mall. Plus there is easy access to Middlesex Mall and others too. Restaurants are a shirt drive away, and they are many. Theaters are located nearby also. We have several parks that are all clean and safe. We're close to the Raritan Canal, Rt. 287, Rt. 18, Rt. 27, etc. Rutgers is a short drive away. Hospitals are close by. St. Peter's, Robert Wood Johnson, Somerville Medical Center, Muhlenberg. Not that far a drive if you like to shop in Flemington Outlets too. Turnpike and Parkway are mostly a 15 to 20 minute drive to get to. Located off Rt. 287, either exit #10 o r #12. For me...#12 is more direct. We have Historical celebrations, community yard sales yearly and more. It's a nice place to live, whether you are a family or just a couple. It's even okay if your a single. New Brunswick State Theatre is close to get to if this is your taste for entertainment. Downtown Somerville is almost around the block from here and has many shops, restaurants, Antique stores, restaurants, etc.. It's a wonderful place to take a stroll on a nice day or evening. Or stop and see the great parade of Antique cars. Isn't much you can't find nearby, if not here. Real Estate runs the gamet of sizes. But is mostly reasonably priced. "

"I've lived in this town for the last 7 years and I find it quite suitable for a quiet type of living. I feel safe here, The police dept. is more than adequate. Hospitals are fairly close. Shopping is close by. And if you need to catch a bus, it is possible, yet not on every street corner. Although you may have read of flooding in the area, this town does not flood. It has military re-enactments, town yard sales, church activities, And not many power outages. If they do come, they don't last long. We have a few very nice restaurants right in town. Food is better than good and atmosphere is pleasant to. No need to travel far for a nice meal out. People are very pleasant and neighbors are very helpful. It's a small town with a small town feeling. Our snow plows are always here the first night of snowfall. We are taken care of here. Our access to Rt. 287 is excellent, as well as it's easy to get to the parkway, turnpike, etc.. Rt.22 is also easy access, and Rt. 18 is easy to. Most all traveled highways can easily be reached by car. Malls are easy to get to also. We're not at the beach, but have no problems getting there from South Bound Brok, N.J. 08880. Most homes here have their own driveway, so parking on the streets is not necessary on most streets. Depending on how many cars there are in one family, of course. Most homes are single family size, although we do have some brand new condo living to. Trains are also nearby with easy access. Not much missing here."
