My son was being bullied and the episodes were not only downplayed but I was told there’s nothing they can do to prevent rough housing and that it just happens with young kids. The tone at the top seems to be “not my fault, not my problem.” Overall there just isn’t enough supervision for the kids. They rely on parent volunteers so they can meet ratio requirements but they don’t seem properly trained. The aftercare program seems to be doing the best with the resources they are provided, but I was also told that late in the afternoon they struggle with having enough teachers to supervise the kids.Parent Review1y ago - Yorba Linda High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son graduated in 2021 during a difficult time resulting from the pandemic. The school did a respectable job working with the kids during this time. Being part of a team sport helped him stay engaged and included. My son went on to a top 10 National University where he is thriving even after losing classroom time during the pandemic. YLHS did a great job preparing him academically for a top tier college.Even though my son goes to a school far away from YLHS in another state (and we have moved far away as well) he still has maintained friendship with his classmates and teammates.Thankful for YLHS and recommend the school without reservation based on our experience that concluded in June 2021. "I live in yorba linda and there is fair transportation depending where you're going. I no longer take the bus but it was enough to go to work and do my normal grocery shopping. it could be improved on other streets. the demand is there. Not entirely sure why the city and cities around it do not make more public transit stops. I do not care to get in to the politics of it much less to rally people to sign petition against the city/cities. I shopped where I was able to at the time of using public transportation and tried to make the best of it. More and more stops were being eliminated including yorba linda blvd which was a popular route. I can understand the economic views in favor of a lot of those stops being shut down but I still did what I could to be able to live. (live as in the necessities of life not literally life or death.)"

"I’ve lived here for 16 years! My neighbors are very friendly and we watch out for each other. I love it here. I would recommend it to anyone who loves the quiet, beauty and great people. It’s still close to great shopping and restaurants. All my neighbors are nice. "

"This area has a lot of baby boomers. Lots of senior citizens. And then a handful of young families struggling to survive. Tons of increased crime. Packages stolen all the time. Cars broken into. Home break ins. We can’t wait to move out of here."
