3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are kind of suspicious enrolling at James Monroe Elementary at first after reading some reviews. But after our daughter attended here for 6 years from Pre K thru 4th grade, there no one single bully for our daughter, and she has learnt a lot from all the teachers, therefore all we have to say that we were very satisfied, very thankful, and very grateful for your moral guidance, caring, but most importantly you all have made a big difference in children’s lives every day from Mr. Eric Meador (Principal), Mrs. Kandy Bishop (Principal), Mr. Edwards (assistant Principal) to Mrs. Moad (Pre K teacher), Ms. Candace (Mrs. Moad's assistant teacher), Mrs. Rivera (Kindergarten), Ms. Donker (1st grade), Ms. Harrison (2nd grade), Ms. Varnell (3rd grade), Ms. Davis-Gordon (4th grade), Mrs. Buck (PE teacher), Ms. Ann Labay (Art teacher), Ms. Rosenberg (Gifted and Talented teacher), Ms. Wigger (Music teacher), Mr Snow (Music teacher replacement), and all the staff. Thank you thank you!!Parent Review1y ago - John Marshall Middle School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI can’t tell you how many times I got upset. I’ve cried multiple times by people in this school. The teachers aren’t bad but some teachers are just straight up rude and don’t even teach. The school lunch is okay and the test make absolutely no sense. As a person who gets high grade some work is easy but some make no sense. There are lots of fights. Lots. Lots of fights. The principal sends students home for fighting and treats the other students that don’t fight worse treatment. Field trips are okay but the school doesn’t even provide items for students. Yeah I get it costs a lot but to the point the teachers that are actually nice have to pay for everything. Overall the school is a dump and you should not let your kid be in this school. "People walk their dogs all the times, all times of the day. There’s multiple parks in the area. However, every now and then owners will not leash their dog and that’s frustrating walking my dogs. "
