"It’s one of the last historical neighbourhoods in LA to not be fully gentrified. It’s still quite lawless with sanitation and social niceties taking the back seat to reality and daily struggles. There is a sense of community but it feels quite divided between the old guard and new rather Central American or not. I’ve lived in Westlake for five years and thusly love and hate the neighborhood yet proud to call it home."
