What Locals Say about San Marcos

"There are not many dog friendly areas. There is a dog park but it is usually vacant. Dog park does have a big area for your dog to play in though. "

"Dog owners often do not leash their dogs. Lots of college students have dogs run out of their house into the street. Too many dog owners do not pick up after their dog and will leave poop on your yard. Dog park is 5 minutes away: nighttime is the busiest time. "

"I have lived here for over a year and I truly believe it’s one of the best places I’ve ever lived. You can walk into a forest from your house. If I were buying a house here I would feel completely satisfied. The people are very respectful and yet friendly, but not too much. It’s very quiet yet there are plenty of children here. "

"This is a quiet and quaint little pocket with a great mix of city and country! I bought my first home here and my kids can walk to school since we are so close. Halloween is packed with all kinds of people and it’s so much fun. The park in the neighborhood is always clean and maintained. I love it here!"
