"very easy 13 minutes from downtown .. right on 4 bus lines. And on a good day A nice walk to downtown and good sightseeing 20 minutes walk."

"My immediate area is more young professionals than families, so not alot of kids in the neighborhood."

"This is the perfect spot for Jazz Fest. I can hear the music from the Gentilly Stage in my backyard. Also great for opening day at the fairgrounds and for second lines on Broad"

"Streets are safe walking dogs but are uneven and often obstructed. The neutral ground on Esplanade provides the best area to walk your dogs away from normal sidewalks. "
- Vivawhitlark

"There are good yards in the neighborhood so most houses will have a nice private space for a dog to be outside. "

"Easy to get around, safe and neighborly feel, close to French quarter,Bayou St. John and MidCity. Lots of food options. "

"Dirty yet clean. Like the rest of New Orleans. It’s different every street and every house. But the entire place has character "
- Julie L.
- Resident

"Plenty of grass for dogs to take care of business. No public trash cans but so far, neighbors have not complained about putting the dog poop bag in their trash. Too many cats roaming if your dog is cat reactive, you need to be alert. Must also be careful of Galvez and Miro traffic, some people go flying down at high speeds. "
- Maguina J.

"I love my neighborhood!!! My neighborhood Is kid friendly, everything is walking distance from everything bus, stores what ever you need!"
- Deslattejohn

"DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! This place sucks. Roads suck, people blast music all night long where it sounds like it’s in your house and their 3 blocks away every night of the week. Gunshots every half hour. "
- Deslattejohn

"I live on a block that is relatively safe and everyone is great to live around. I look down the street, at the end of the block and there’s people being shot. And drive by’s"
- Jacqueline T.

"I would say that there are Some areas have kids playing outside and there are other areas that don’t. "
- Dawanhouse

"My neighborhood is a place where I am terrified to go outside the rent is high and the police rarely drives around to check on community "
- Katie g.

"Still not a super safe neighborhood, definitely don’t let your kids roam around the area after dark and keep doors locked."
- Aldagar b.

"Diverse, friendly neighborhood with both long term and brand new residents who get along well. All the neighbors say hi to one another, and many are old friends."
