9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is fine. Nothing much better in the area, besides private schools (some of which are arguably much worse). Teachers, depending on class level, subject, individual, are generally good. In my experience, my teachers have cared and know what they’re teaching. It’s fine like it’s normal. Lots of healthy academic competition. If you’re bad at school, this isn’t a good place for you. Not that your looked down upon, but your not at the “average” level of the students here. As most teens are, cliques exist but it’s not that deep. If you’re a kind, chill, not dumb person you should have a problem making friends. So many different types of people, you will find someone who fits you. Drugs are a problem, but it’s south florida. what do you expect? Like it’s a problem but it’s not the schools fault. Olympic has the worst drug issues. Private schools also have tons of drugs, it’s no different. This school teaches a lot about how to deal with people, stress, life overall. You are very prepped for college and how to be a good person. You learn life lessons and academic stuff. It’s a fine school. If your zoned for it, go.Student Review5mo ago - Calusa Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePrinciple, staff and all the officials of this school are disrespectful, and would need a basic education on manners. They do not know what education is, and they are center focused, closed minded people. Please do not bring your child there - because children there do not study - Calusa doesn''t care about teaching our children. Calusa staff cares to fight with parents more than to do their primarily job and educate.Parent Review1y ago - Omni Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWell, I guess I am not the only one who has had a terrible experience with this school. My son came from thriving being homeschooled, to basically failing. There is so much bullying, violence, and 0 resources for the students. They are severely understaffed and I signed my son up for multiple different electives and they just kept him in PE forever. I call and email and get no response. The teachers do not communicate with me about how my son is doing. They had a special counselor for my son for basically 1 week and never kept up with it. They waste their time on little things like a student not moving their seat instead of focusing on the real issues like racism and bullying. I regret taking my son out of homeschooling to come to this disgraceful place.Parent Review3mo ago - Village Academy On The Art & Sara Jo Kobacker Campus

"I grew up here. The people are really friendly. Some of them family friends or acquaintances. I used to walk my dogs day and night but they are old now so I just take them out in the backyard. It’s a very safe neighborhood. I lived here for 16 years moved away when I was sixteen and I just came back here in Florida cuz of how nice people are and the support I have here from friends and family. And there’s just more stuff here to do and more things I can be successful at"
