"Easy Drive to downtown against traffic. No delays in morning. Return might slow down right at 1st exit for Del Mar. "

"Old Del Mar is dog friendly and we all know each other’s dog’s names and sometimes we know their owner’s names, lol. Cars will slow for dogs being walked and I have never encountered a dog off-leash."

"I have lived and worked in the neighborhood and find Del Mar to be the best place to call home! It has possibly the nicest stretch of beach in San Diego county, has an excellent Lifeguard department and Community Services department. The Del Mar Foundation and Del Mar Village Association offer tons of fun events to partake in year round but best of all summer concerts in Powerhouse Park. The village has a plethora of top restaurants from Del Mar Pizza to Pacifica Seafood and Jake's on the beach. It is a beach town so summertime is busy with people visiting from all around the world. The Del Mar Race Track is nearby and a short drive away are area attractions such as Seaworld, San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Coronado, La Jolla, Legoland and more. "

"Stratford Ct between 4th and 6th St is very quiet but has no stores or places for kids to play. Sidewalks are discontinuous between here and town. It is at the top of a bluff overlooking the ocean, but there is no beach access due to the height of the bluff wall (~60'). The nearest beach access is several blocks away. The only traffic is local with the occasional tourist who thinks there is beach access."

"One of the best places to live anywhere if you like the classic beach community. Del Mar is a California jewell where the surf meets the turf and the fun meets the sun. This is the good life in the ultimate location, location, location."
