Description

Beautiful historic building available in the heart of downtown! Rich details abound throughout from the ornate garlands on the glazed terra cotta exterior, to the operable antique elevator. Built in 1913, this building first housed May and Cooney Dry Goods until the Great Depression. Then J.C. Penney occupied the space until they moved to "The Mall" in 1966. Most recently, after a 1974 renovation, this was the Elbert H. Parsons Law Library. Very impressive property perfect for multiple tenants.

"I live in this area and am glad to see how it has improved over the years. The streets are safe day and night, neighbors friendly - people stop and talk when they see each other - people find your dog running loose and bring him back to your house or call you to let you know. There are more and more downtown restaurants, and grocery shopping within a block of this property. Great Thai restaurant, BBQ, and 5 blocks away, great pubs serving locally brewed beer. A few clubs downtown and dining that features live bands, music. Love downtown Huntsville!"
