2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI used to work at the center near there. I was there from 2002 til 2015. A couple times a month, some kid shooter and or a kid ditching would be running in Thatcher woods from that school and the police/ guards would be chasing them. The center would go into lock down for our own safety. Kids from that school that have gone to the center were either scared, dangerous, or didn't care about anyone but themselves. Driving by there isn't safe and anyone from Chicago, Melrose, Maywood, and or Forest Park knows not to send their kids there. If you have too go there, hopefully they make it the 4 years and that kid keeps their head down.Parent Review1y ago - Proviso West High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's really good so far. I am the most recent review so things have changed since the older reviews. Now you have to take a test to get in. Everyone's nice besides a few characters but other than that there is a level of respect that everyone gets and it's very high.Student Review6y ago - Forest Park Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI hated this school growing up and I believe this school has just got worse. A lot of troubled kids from different areas using someone else’s address. Teachers don’t want to deal with it so they let the bullying continue. The only thing I learned from going here is how much I disliked it. I had so many bad memories here that I would barley want to go to school. They need to take control of the kids and act like they care because I never felt that here.Parent Review2y ago - Garfield Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have a 1st grader at the school and she has had an incredible experience there. I'm very pleased with her teachers (last year, she had a National Board-Certified kindergarten teacher!), the classes are small and there are kids from all kinds of families: both parents in the home, single parents, college-educated, working class, Christian, other, and all ethnicities. It is a delightful place where kids are kids and engaged in completely developmentally appropriate activities, since it's Preschool - 2nd grade. This is a gem of a little neighborhood school!Parent Review7y ago - Grant-White Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe staff there is very caring but I don't see the help that my student needs. He struggles in ever aspect . The small classeroom sizes are great but somehow he still gets lost. My son has some learning issues and there doesn't seem to be any actual genuine help for these problems. There is some help but it doesn't seem to be doing any better than he was without it. Formats have to change and solutions are barely met at this school. They seem to dump a lot more on parents than when my generation was in grade school..Parent Review9y ago - Check out schools near 203 Marengo Ave #5.
