9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe Principal has been very receptive and always available to discuss our concerns. I visit the school at different times of the day throughout the year and I see his presence in the lunch room on the yard and in the school as a strong and positive influence on the school , it's students and the teaching staff. The PTA is involved and the school supports may different initiatives on behalf of BAM and the community.Parent Review5y ago - Berkeley High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you’re interested in a Wolk environment, that places social issues above education, this is the place for you. It caters to the lowest common denominator at the expense of serious students. If you’re a self-starter and seriously motivated student, you might survive. It can offer a quality education, but those opportunities diminish year-by-year as political agenda takes hold. There is little to no repercussions for violent behavior.Parent Review1y ago - Ruth Acty Elementary

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe feel incredibly fortunate to be part of the Rosa Parks community. The dynamic Science, Dance, Arts, core curriculum, and after school programming are all top-notch. The school has a thriving Science lab and curriculum; my son has taken in after school enrichment: Art; Yoga; Toyology (making toys based on Science concepts); Soccer; Chess; Cooking. The physical layout of the school is charming and welcoming. It's a special place.Parent Review6y ago - Check out schools near 2023 7th St.

"The walks one can take through the Berkeley Hills keeps one focused on beauty and inner peace because you are surrounded by the natural world of redwoods, live oak trees hundreds of years old, soaring birds, extraordinary light at sunset, and did I say beauty. Truly amazing weather as well. Best place in country to live well if you can afford it"

"This is a diverse neighborhood, w/families, singles, and older people. It is close to public transportation, a large park (dogs, tennis, ball games, rec center) and an excellent full-service market. Public school 3 blocks away. Lots of community involvement, block parties, etc. Close to a main thoroughfare yet actual street traffic is light."
