7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is subpar at best. There are rats and cockroaches (and other disgusting bugs) within the locker room. The PE teachers do not care about the health of students; they make them lie on the filthy gym floor everyday, and they never clean them. Some of the teachers here are great, but the other teachers can be somewhat of a martinet, being very critical, making students cry. I see students in the cafeteria running around like monkeys, chasing each other and putting one another in garbage cans, with no consequences. The curriculum is not challenging, as for the whole school year I have spent less than 8 hours total on homework. If you want your to have a good middle experience, do NOT send your child here.Student Review3y ago - Washington Elementary

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is an amazing school and I believe the rating is dated. We live a block away from an elementary that is a deserved 9 (our other child attended) and we drive 15 min every morning so our child can attend this school instead. Its project based STEAM learning is fantastic. The staff is incredible. The leadership engaged. The parents are diverse and involved. So happy our child has the opportunity to be here.Parent Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 1831 H St #4.

"this place use to be decent before there were so many homeless everywhere pooping in the alleys, rummaging through garbage at 4am, breaking into my car, and stealing delivery packages during Christmas. I plan on leaving and never coming back. "

"People tend to speed through the area of h street and 17th where a lot of pedestrians cross the street. Pay attention and be safe out there! "

"It can be very noisy at night, especially on the weekends. It is not to far from night life and the weekends being loud 20-something year olds who don’t seem to be considerate of the homes around them. "

"Dog friendly area for sure. Dog park in the area. Many people out and about walking their dogs and the majority pick up after their dogs... please be one of the great dog parents who picks up the poo. 😉"
