What Locals Say about Aliquippa

  • Nikki Monroe
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for over a year now. My neighbors look out for each other and we all seem to have cameras on our homes. It’s quiet 90% of the time. "

"I’ve lived in the neighborhood for over a year. In the first month we had the front door open while doing some remodeling and someone had the nerve to walk in and steal my sister-n-laws purse. So we immediately installed cameras in and around the house and got an alarm system . Since then we’ve had no problems and our neighbors watch out for each other. They also have cameras."

"People here are very disrespectful, throw trash every where, and make drug deals everywhere and teach children those ways. I once watched a grown man overdose on the kids playground at 11 am. Don’t move here unless you want to see that trash "

"I am a young professional male, 26 years old, and I purchased my first home at the top of the hill in Sheffield Terrace (a.k.a. Presidential Heights) six months ago. It is a beautiful neighborhood full of truly wonderful people. Many of my neighbors are becoming like extended family to me. The area is truly convenient to everything, Route 51 and Interstate 376 are both moments away, shopping is no more than ten minutes away if I go to Center Twp, or if I need to go to Robinson, its about 15 min drive. Giant Eagle is minutes away, and with clusters of other stores within a mile of my home such as CVS and the Wine and Spirits, Ace hardware, and of course the usual dollar stores, even if I forget something while I am out, it is no big deal to run to one of these convenient stores to grab what I need and be back home within ten or fifteen minues. I am extremely happy with the purchase of my home, it has a beautiful yard, stately trees, and the house itself is exploding with potential (which I am taking full advatage of!) It is very quiet in my neighborhood, sitting on the patio at night during summer is so serene, all you hear is crickets. People take pride in their homes, you can see it as soon as you drive into the neighborhood. For the most part, the homes are neat and tidy. It is a fantastic place to live, and I can tell I am really putting roots down here, and I plan to live here for quite awhile! I would recommend anyone to purchase here, the home prices are reasonable, and its a GREAT place to call home!"
