What Locals Say about Wright

  • Kurthahn01
"Crime is very high in the area. My street is mostly crime free due to the high number of retired people. "

"Dogs are welcomed by most except landlords. A large percentage of the population owns pets and no one wants pets in the home they are renting. We wonder why there’s a high number of strays and animals in the pound."

  • Philsanabria
"This is a nice quiet area that is 10 minutes from Hurlburt Air Field and 15 minutes to Eglin AFB. We are also five minutes from the hospital and other medical facilities in Fort Walton Beach with easy access to all shopping and restaurants while only 20 minutes to the beach!"

"SAMs club Lowe’s and Walmart are within walking distance. Senior high school and midd;e school is walking distance as well as the elementary school. We are located between Eglin AFB and Hurlburt AFB. 7 miles from the beaches. The airport is about 5 miles away. Hospitals are about 3 miles. The neighborhood is safe and the people are friendly and speak to each other. Everyone keeps there lawn groomed and there are no junk cars in front of houses. People clean up behind their dogs. It’s a good neighborhood. A car is needed to get around, everything is spread out. "

"Mayflower Avenue is a heavily traveled road , most people ignore the 35mph sighs. I think large speed bumps should be installed. I live on a corner and speak to my neighbors often while working in my yard. It’s a friendly neighborhood. Just heavy traffic!"
