"I lived here half my life and besides the college kids causing a ruckus, the city is pretty sweet, if you are an alcoholic.... There is a bar on every corner. Welcome to the black hole of the universe, Oswego, NY. Oh, and beware of Harbor"mess" in July-August. It get's insane."

"I’ve lived in the township of Oswego for over 25 years. Our area has the peaceful beauty of country living, yet less than 5 miles from the college. Although most of the lawns are measured in acres, all the neighbor’s mow their yards on a regular basis. In the rural area, there are no sidewalks, but that does not stop people from walking or biking. Neighbors are friendly and eager to lend a helping hand. Excellent place to raise a family."

"This is a college town. Finding a home is difficult to find if you're looking to settle down here. I wouldn't recommend it. I love the small town feel. I love the old homes but mamy of them are run down and people can't afford to fix them. Well paying jobs are hard to find around here also."

"If you are a college student and do not mind being kept awake all night by neighbors having loud parties and groups of people walking the streets all hours of the night yelling and making loud noises then this area is for you. If not then stay away, most of the houses are multiple units and rent to mainly college students. Not a family friendly area. "
