5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI posted a review 5 years ago about the way my child was treated his first time attending pre- k. He was diagnosed with Autism and the school said they still could not address his needs. Some people look at having a disability or learning disability as not normal or places a stigma on it. My child loved going to school each day in pre-k. They cut his school day down to two hours, to satisfy the teacher because she wasn't equipped to deal with him, or didn't even try. They never think about how the child feels, most people just do things for recognition and don't want the so called "Abnormal" child to mess up their program. I'm glad he's in a school that he is comfortable in, and they recognize his accomplishments. He is 8 years old now and he has came a long way. This is new for me I never dealt with Autism being a mother of three children. I've cried many days and nights, and laughed many days and nights. No one knows what you go through if they never walked in your shoes. I've learned to find ways to help my son, because he's in a world that he can't always navigate so I am his driver. I will never forget the way the school handle his condition, and how they made my son feel. There is NEST program for children with Autism in the school. They still told me they could not service him because I'd depend where they are on the spectrum. Once I have life my child will make it. Because he is determined, and a little more verbal than before. In life you never know what can come your way. If you live in glass house never throw stones. I've been an educator for 12 years, and it is sad to see the way some children are dealt with because they don't for the social norm.Parent Review3y ago - Middle School of Media Law and Fine Arts (The)

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am an actual student at this school. I've only been there for a year so far. But I am going there for 7th grade. This school is really nice. They have these sweet and caring people working for after school and they are free. They feed us, help us do our homework, and let us do the activities we pick. There is basketball, martial arts, chorus, step, dance, cooking, Photography, and arts and crafts. Also, during the day, we have nice teachers that try to bring out the good in even the hardest students to deal with. One of he best perks about this school is, we have talent shows. We do the activities we do in after school for the talent show or you could do your own act with a group of friends or go solo and enjoy yourself on stage. I do recommend this school.Other Review9y ago - It Takes A Village Academy

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was horrible as a transfer student. Sadly enough, it was better than the school I went to beforehand. This school sucks at communication, has NO programs for technical students and does not even give AP classes to kids who earn 90’s, but instead gives them to kids who do not want them. They do not respond to emails nor phone calls, as I am attempting to get my transcript after they had ALL SUMMER to send my transcript to my college. Yet, they still aren’t and I’m being told I may not be able to register for spring 2024 semester due to this.Other Review7mo ago - Middle School Of Marketing And Legal Studies

"There are a lot of public parks to walk your 4-legged bestie. Since many people own dogs everyone takes care to pick up after them. The one thing that a dog owner might not like is that the area is very flat. So there isn’t very challenging terrain."
