6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA great school for education and preparedness for college or career.Had two sons attend this school and one was accepted to West Point and the other earned a BS degree at a private college.Leilehua was diirectly responsible for offering the education that these boys applied themselves to.I don't know about the "equity" rating because I think demanding equity over offering complete equality to everyone is blatantly racist.Parent Review2y ago - Major Sheldon Wheeler Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur first year experience at this school was ok! It was also the first year post COVID pandemic, so there were a lot of “moving pieces” for everyone (teachers & students). I felt that the teachers & staff did the best they could given the circumstances. The school itself is older & there is no AC in the classrooms. Our second year, was unfortunately an awful school year due to my child’s primary teacher. My child has an IEP that requires sped. My child’s teacher was not supportive or empathetic to my child & their needs whatsoever. And if she was, she never demonstrated or had anything kind to say. Everyday the teacher had some sort of complaint about my child. The communication from the teacher was never constructive & she was not helpful to my child’s emotional well being. My child’s sped teacher was the complete opposite though & we really appreciated her help! Others at the school were witness to my child’s teacher’s rude comments & attitude. I will add that the admin (office staff & principals) were always kind to us & willing to help when we discussed our difficult situation! We’re now at a different school & have an amazing teacher who is aware & empathetic to each child’s individual needs, not just my child’s. My only hope is that the particular teacher we had (and perhaps others) is more aware & kind to each child and their needs.Parent Review6mo ago - Anuenue School

"There are many great places to live at but as of what I seen from living here for 6 years now is that it's hard to maintain a decent place cause it's getting more expensive everywhere as for as here"

"The nicer part of the armpit of Oahu. Unfortunately the actual town has lot of bums and is just nasty. Outside of my little neighborhood people are generally rude. The weather is pretty much rainy all the time. We call it castle Greyskull for a reason"

"I live in a quiet area of Wahiawa. The neighbors are mindful when they have parties; though it is a weekend, they manage to quiet down by a decent time. I love it here because most of the neighbors are friendly and easy to talk to. Basically, my neighborhood is quiet. Even the children around here are in their homes before the sun sets."

"I work by there. And it is very close to my house and I like to live by there"
