5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a current parent of a student at Live Oak and I am very surprised by the comments (rant) below. My student has been at this school for the past 4 years and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the teachers, principal (previous one and new one), and the office staff. All of my interactions have been positive with the office staff. They are professional and very knowledgeable. It is a VERY busy office but the office staff does a great job of working together to make sure everyone who walks in there is addressed quickly and professionally. The teachers are amazing! They are innovative and have a passion for their students. The previous Principal, Mr. Chaparro, was so kind and had a great rapport with the parents and students. He made it a point to learn the kids names. The new Principal, Mrs. Corral, is also amazing! She has brought with her new ideas to help improve the school and keep leading it in the right direction. They do a great job of involving parents and promoting parent engagement. They did have some major issues with their past PTA (very unprofessional) but things seem to be moving in a better direction. The facilities are a bit old and need some renovating but the campus is big and the grass area is huge! Their is little i think they could do to improve the pick-up and drop-off situation. You can't FORCE adults to drive with caution and to have patience. Every school I have ever gone to or attended has the same issues.I would recommend this school to anyone who asked, without hesitation. Keep up the good work Live Oak!Parent Review8y ago - Sequoia Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is AWEFULL. Not many teachers here are bad but some... gotta go. as a student who was attending here for 2+ years I wanna say that the average 8th grader will get bombarded with 14 assignments a week and the bullying here never gets solved and there is a lot of homosexual students here (not trying to seem homophobic) but still though I used to get bullied here a lot and I barely get listened to unless if my parents storm the office and just earlier as I said. I NEVER HAVE FREE TIME THANKS TO ASIGNMENTS. and I stay up till 11 and wake up at 4 just so my work can get ignored. so, for now on Ima just fail the classes I hate on purpose and will think of moving out of Fontana schools when I go to high school. So, if you're a parent or student. and are okay with frequent bullying and some homosexual couples making out in public and the agenda rules not being enforced properly then go for it?Other Review6mo ago - Henry J. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTo be honest, its an okay learning environment. The whole point of the school is to teach however some teachers are lacking that credential to even teach kids the right way instead they fast-forward to each unit.Student Review3mo ago - Check out schools near 14816 Sequoia Ave.
