"I lived in the neighborhood for 2 years. Overall it is quiet, clean, and most families have lived here a long time. People are always walking their dogs and Altura Park is home to a great kids soccer league. My only complaint is thieves know these are nice families in a nice neighborhood and believe they can scout out and steal whatever they want. Cars, decorations, even Christmas lights. One of our cars was taken right out of the driveway. There’s a reason Altura park area stopped setting up fabulous light displays. Lock up your vehicles and invest in a security system and I promise you’re experience here will be great. "

"Very dog friendly neighborhood. Great access to both interstates. Two grocery stores within 3-4 blocks, Smith’s and Whole Foods. UNM North Golf Course only 1.5 mi away. Large park with 2 tennis courts and nice grass areas. "
