There are a lot of shootings, and when the police are called, they arrive 3 to 5 hours later. In addition, the neighbors play their music extremely loud with no consideration for others. My car was broken into once, and another car was totaled in a hit and run right in front of my house. I had the luxury of having wonderful neighbors who looked out for one another. If you are looking to live in Newark I will say this is a good neighborhood but not one that I would be comfortable raising my family in any longer."
