5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am an adult with Asperger's and ADHD and I am still getting over trauma caused by this school I was bullied relentlessly and the teachers refused to to do anything to help me I was racially intimidated on the bus and the teachers refused to help me and one time when I was misbehaving a teacher threatened to tell a girl I had a crush on that I had a crush on her if I didn't behave and I hope to God that teacher doesn't work there anymore stay away from this school if you have autism they say they can help you but they can'tParent Review1y ago - Pittsburgh Carmalt K-8

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHonestly, any student who wants to learn can get a great education here. Teachers respond in a timely manner to emails. Every parent has access to their child's gradebook and attendance. Those who are taught to value education and make good decisions thrive here. Getting involved in the many activities that are offered both during and after school also provide great opportunities to build character. There are many teachers there who have even graduated from Carrick. This is just my experience, but the ability to gain a good experience is available to all.Other Review4y ago - Pittsburgh Allegheny 6-8

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school has excellent leadership & teaching staff. I've seen a great deal of improvement in my son's reading ability plus the have a solid instrumental program. The school principal is by far the best I've seen in the two districts my son has attendedParent Review8y ago - Pittsburgh Dilworth K-5

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is phenomenal. We are so fortunate to go here. Our daughter loves school, has made wonderful friends. From the first week the teachers all seem to know every child by name. Students are greeted each morning with an all-school assembly with drumming, singing, a welcome message by the Principal, and the school rock band rocking out. Its a fantastic way to start the day! There are tons of field trips, lots of art and music incorporated into each day. We love it here!Parent Review6y ago - Pittsburgh South Hills 6-8

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSome teachers are great. But there are a few teachers that I cannot understand as to why they have choose to teach. Some are rude when you ask for help and do not support the children in a positive way. There are fights and some teachers or staff just stand there and watch. I know because I have seen several videos posted on Facebook before the restriction of cellphones.Parent Review7y ago - Pittsburgh Brashear High School
