8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethey target kids for special education as they must have a quota to meet for funding. my child was targeted to be put in special needsclass. they wanted us to come down and sign s stack of papers to agree to this. i told my wife you can tell them to pound sand. we took him over to a costly private school. he tested out they accepted him and has put up A and B ‘s for the last 3 years not once has the private school whos expectations are way higher and weactually have daily homework never once have they come to us about learning disabilities. we were not the only case. i know another family who was targeted and they moved their kid out and he is smart as ever. plUs all the lamé teachers we had none are still there. turnover is high. its not a good schoolbut they want you to think it is because its in milton the wealthiest area in georgia besides buckheadParent Review7mo ago - Milton High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter graduated from Milton HS and my son is currently attending. My experience as a parent has been very disappointing and frustrating. The school is under staffed, the counselors and teachers don't seem to care, they are unresponsive, the school always smells like marijuana smoke and overall it feels like an overwhelming and chaotic environment. The focus is on football and athletics and for students not participating in sports, it's difficult to make friends and connect. My son has been sad, lonely and suffering socially and academically since starting at Milton. He hates going to school, I've reached out for help and advice multiple times and my emails and voicemails are ignored or dismissed. The environment seems to be getting progressively worse and I think the new charter schools in the area are negatively impacting Milton by dividing the local student population and loss of funding and resources favoring the many surrounding public charter schools.Parent Review6mo ago - Northwestern Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe faculty and staff are caring and do a great job of ensuring all children understand the concepts being taught. Communication with parents is great and each educator ensures parents are made aware proactively of any potential hiccups so issues can be addressed before they become problems. Parents are encouraged and do participate actively in school programs. Overall a very great school I would highly recommend.Parent Review3mo ago - Check out schools near 12892 Waterside Dr.

"There aren't enough sidewalks through out the neighbor hood for safe walking, we have speeders on the rd and lots of curves and narrow rds which is really unsafe for dog walking. Lots of neighbors complain about dogs barking."

"No mass transit so commutes are not good. I lived in a suburb of NYC for many years so I am use to long commutes, but the traffic in and around Atlanta is very bad and with no mass transit it means spending long hours in a car. "

"I’ve lived here for 7 years and although many are older and coupled up nobody bothers me. It’s quiet . Not much of a local social life for young singles but it’s family oriented and a safer neighborhood for kids and single parents. I moved up here to avoid traffic going to work. The cost of living is higher but beats sitting in traffic "

"Have lived her for 27 years. Much has changed, but much of the good remains. Denser development is confined to designated areas such as Crabapple, Birmingham Crossroads. Wonderful equestrian area with acre plus lots and a sewer moratorium to prevent density and mitigate ugly sprawl. Growth will come, but our community planners have done a great job."

"Scenic approach via Dinsmore Rd always makes us smile – the serene tree-lined North Valley scenery and vista is truly unique in Milton. Crickets and pond frogs chirping as the sun sets. Hot air balloons floating over the house. Views of $2M+ North Valley. Great neighborhood - access to pool and tennis, local events, access to new 140 acres+ Milton Greenspace which will become an equestrian/ bike/ hike trail, now on your own doorstep. Great schools and – important - many alternative routes to get from here to there including 400, Crabapple, Alpharetta Downtown and Avalon.and beyond."
