6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTerrible school to work for. Students, specially 8th. Graders, along with parents are the ones manipulating the school. Students do whatever they want. Leaders prefer to attack faculty rather than face aggressive parents. Specialist will press teachers to pass students with educational disabilities, instead of support students’ needs. Not an ethical posture.Teacher Review1mo ago - Point Loma High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageReally love the teachers, kids, parents and whole community at Silver Gate. Echo the comment that parents are involved without being overbearing. Excellent communication between parents and teachers. Long-tenured teachers and staff - a sign that they want to be there and they’re a cohesive and collaborative group.Parent Review7mo ago - Dana

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWas a bit skeptical about sending my child to the PL cluster for Middle School. (Current 5th Grader.) I have been amazed how well my child has done. The changes in leadership were a bit scary at the beginning of the school year, however the team they have in place for long term is going to be great! Excited to see how they shape the next version of Dana. John is a caring and great leader. With his experience and vision, I see this becoming an even better middle school experience for the 5th & 6th graders in PL.Parent Review4w ago - Check out schools near 1250 Willow St.

What Locals Say about Roseville - Fleet Ridge

"By car and really far. Traffic sucks but coming in and out of Point Loma is a lot easier than commuting from further south or Coronado "

"Filled with traffic . Everywhere takes forever to get to when only down the street. Stop the building for safety of our citizens. "
- Kmadruga
- Resident

"Horrible traffic the city wants to add more terrible idea! They need to develop away from the bay and beach more open space "
- Paul C.
- Resident
- 4y ago
"There’s only two ways on and off the peninsula and neither are a good option. Rosecrans and Nimitz/Sunset Cliffs are both very busy most of the day most days and it’s not uncommon for it to take 10-15+ to get to the 5. Access to the 8 is a little better via Nimitz unless it’s between 2-3:30 pm weekdays. "

"Best neighborhood in San Diego, you can walk to schools, restaurants , boats, and bars! It is a small town feel in a big city "

"I have lived here 18 years. After hours the traffic and airport noise cease!!! Proximity to everything outweighs the noise."
- Artesst

"It’s a real community where people know your name and face. The Village area of Point Loma is very walkable at all times of day/night, with great restaurants and amenities, but the mom & pop shops and businesses are being moved out in order to make room for new and very expensive condos. Unfortunately, the infrastructure can’t support the increase of vehicles or people that come with it and it’s feeling less and less like a community than ever before."

"Nice area, affordable waterfront living, safe walking, nice mix of homes and apartment living. Pet friendly "

"The community is older and everyone knows everyone pretty much. A small town feel in a big city! I love living in Point Loma"
- Craig O.

"Beautiful and clean, Point Loma has the multi million dollar views from almost every street. Fine well maintained homes and the folks are real friendly and nice. Plenty of shopping close by, schools are top notch and the beach and downtown are just minutes away. "

"This area is nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the San Diego Harbor and a desired location. Everything one needs from Fashion Valley Mall, Theaters, Downtown, Sailing, Surfing, Parks, and more are within a 3-10 mile driving distance."
