4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers do not teach. They cannot find quality teachers who are willing to do their job. They are "Just there to get a paycheck" as a couple have said. The bullying is out of control and brushed under the rug. They claim there is a no tolerance bullying policy, however, when you look at the code of student conduct, nowhere does it say it 'no tolerance'. They have and 'o' for optional beside the possible ways to reprimand. THAT IS NOT 'NO TOLERANCE'. It's a joke, I wish the ratings on zillow a couple years ago would've been true, but due to all the staff in Charlotte county in bed together, I don't foresee anything improving. The superintendent is retiring this year and supposedly his wife (the principal to PG Middle) so with both of them gone, I can hang onto a little bit of hope for improvement, but it will take years to clean up their mess.Parent Review1y ago - Deep Creek Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy two oldest sons attended this school for one year, which was all I needed because it was clearly not the teaching environment I hoped for. First off, my youngest was in Kindergarten and though he struggled in the area of reading, I was told he needed to keep up with other students. When I contacted the school I told them we were seeking a tutor and of the school had an options for low income families. There wasn't and they were highly expensive. Secondly my son was the smallest in the class and often picked on. Three times he was pushed to the ground and had nose bleeds. The last time before the end of the school year I got call from the nurse telling me that she couldn't stop the bleeding and advised me to take him to the ER. My son told me during recess he was pushed to the ground by a much bigger child and his face hit the pavement. In The end, we moved away and made the decision to home school which was the best decision I made because he became a proficient reader that summer. The school never spoke to me about these incidences.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 1236 Rio De Janeiro Ave #401.

"I lived here for one year, my neighbors are great friendly people, we look out for each other. A lot of people here are from other places, I have yet to meet a true blood Floridian, which I would like too. I have become knowledgeable on the history of Florida, but still learning on how it came about. "
