What Locals Say about Stuart

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 3 years and it’s been nothing but problems. Only a few are really nice. The rest try and get you kicked out for nothing. "

"After living in a big city most of my life I find that the somewhat sleepy Stuart has the perfect medium as it offers the small town close knit community feel of a small town but also has loads of shopping and restaurants that you would find in a larger city. Stuart/Port Salerno is also a stones throw away from awesome beaches as well as larger cities with abundant nightlife. "

"It's an easy commute with little traffic. I wish more areas would not become so busy. I hope this area stays slower but I fear it wont. Buying here would still be better than Palm Beach."

"I’ve not experience salerno to be a welcoming community. It’s pretty tight knit and people seem to stay to themselves. I’ve lived here 10 years and don’t know most of my neighbors."

"The commute was a breeze before the construction to expand Kanner Highway and SW 96th Street. It now takes an extra 20 mins to reach Kanner highway. "

"I’ve lived here in Stuart for my whole life. It’s a fairly small city, but it seems to be experiencing a lot of growth here these past few years. The downtown area is beautiful and carries historic significance, although it can be quite busy on the evenings and weekends. The one downside is that there’s not a ton to do here besides beach it up or go out to eat (there is a good variety of restaurants). If you decide to make this your home, just be warned there will literally always be construction happening on Kanner Highway haha. It’s been going on since I was a kid. Overall Stuart is a city but with a small town homey feel, nice restaurants, pretty riverside scenery, a decent fishing scene, and only 15 minutes from the beach. A great place to retire, or raise young kids, but maybe not the absolute best for single millennials seeking career jobs with opportunity for growth. There’s not much here except service industry jobs. "
