4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm a Junior at Taylorville High School, and while it isn't great, it isn't awful either. I like that it's a smaller school and we have many freedoms. We don't have to wear uniforms, and I like that a lot. We can use our cell phones if the teacher allows us to. That can be very convenient if I need to text my boss or my parents. I feel like this also distracts from learning in some ways, but students used them even when they weren't supposed to. I think THS could improve by reviewing their teachers and getting rid of the ones who don't do the students any good. I've had a few teachers that have set us up for failure by quizzing us over things we hadn't gone over at all. I've had a teacher that will take off points for corrections she suggests in papers. I don't like Advisory period. There isn't enough time to go to your locker to get something to do. I usually just read every day because I don't have time to get homework and my teacher won't allow us to go to our lockers to get something to do. It feels like a waste of time. But overall, it isn't as bad as it could be.Student Review10y ago - Check out schools near 116 E Center St.
