Description

This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from February 17, 2024
Fully remodeled & fully furnished duplex in the heart of Silver Lake overlooking the Hollywood sign, Griffith Observatory and expansive city views. Both units are currently rented on airbnb on a monthly furnished basis and will be delivered to buyer vacant. Each unit is 1 bedroom 1 bathroom plus bonus room currently being used as an extra bedroom (so, in practice each unit is a 2 bed, 1 bath), has high end finishes including Venetian plaster, rain fall shower with wall jets, white oak wall paneling, a/c mini splits systems throughout and its own washer and dryer. The shared wall has been professionally sound proofed on both sides which virtually eliminates any sound transfer between the units. One unit has a private fenced concrete patio with string lights, sunshade and lush mature gardens creating a relaxed and suiting experience right off Sunset Blvd. The other unit is the star of this property, with multi level terraces back yard surround by fruit trees, palm trees and completely hedged with ficus that makes you feel you are in a green private oasis in the city. The multi level terraces lead to the top level where you find a 800 sqf concrete patio that that has it all. Craned in from the street below there is a 8 seater 220 power Jacuzzi that overlocks the Hollywood sign and the city lights. Step out the jacuzzi into the Brazilian Ipe wood decking or relax under the intriguing wood trellis enjoying the fire pit. From the top deck through the entire property there is an underground drainage system that leads to the street. The entire 7500 lot has over 100 ficus hedged with irrigation providing ultimate privacy from the neighbors. Centraly located, walk to shops, cafes and fantastic restaurants or take a 20 minute hike to the Silver Lake reservoir. This property has multiple uses: rent one side and live in the other, or rent both units for good rental income in a great up and coming part of Silver lake Also has ADU potential by building another unit above the garage. Seller will collaborated with a buy down.

"There is a halfway house on the corner of Descanso and Robinson. Some people are not aware of this, because both streets are beautiful. It does not belong in our community. It is unsafe and it is the one thing preventing our neighborhood from being the best it can be. The “residents” walk back and forth on Descanso, and I’ve been followed on 3 separate occasions and did not feel safe."
